Hannah Broom is a Visual Artist and Writer, based in Brisbane, Australia. She is currently working on her first book, a memoir, entitled 'stay with me' that documents her battle to belong and fit in.This book describes her personal struggle with mental illness, eating disorders, self harm and suicide. 

Hannah has taught and lectured in Multimedia Technology and holds a Bachelors degree with honours and a Master of Arts (Research) in Visual Art from the Queensland University of Technology. Her challenging performance art and reference to the female body in years gone by is still remembered in and around Brisbane's galleries and museums, as well as Artist Run Initiatives and pop up spaces.

Hannah's large scale photographic artwork is held in many private collections and is renowned for it’s daring, unapologetic and confrontational approach in exploring themes of the obese, female Other.
